9-10 years ago, Peter and I were playfully talking about what is now known as Pedeli’s Gourmet Kitchen. I remember it so well. We were sitting on the curb at the parking lot of what was then Fat Willies at the Fort. The bars were all closed but we didn’t want to go home yet so we just sat there and talked.
The conversation was pretty chaotic. No serious topic just laughs and quick-wit comments here and there. I think that was even the better part of the night.
So we were looking at two barely finished blue towers. That time, those were the only two towers in Bonifacio so it was not a surprise that we were just looking at it and throwing bags of comments about it.
Then we had this fantasy of having a P.A. we would then be putting our “phones” against our ears pretending to be speaking to our P.A. about the “construction details” of the building we were looking at pretending that it was ours.”
Fast forward to 2010. We were looking for a P.A. or a “Katulong” (we didn’t have enough money to get a P.A. so a “katulong” will do especially when it involves just assembly and doing minor clerical work) and ran through a couple of applicants but since the company was not incorporated yet, we decided to put that search on hold, for now. Take note that whoever that P.A. will be, we will playfully call her by the name we were using while we were playing at the Fort 9-10 years ago.
When we were processing our papers/documents for the incorporation of Pedeli and Barkley, we were looking for a Lawyer and an Accountant. More so, an Accountant. We spoke and met with a lot but it was the one that kuya Bobot recommended that we decided to meet with and now hire as our official Accountant.
Without mentioning her last name, the Accountant’s name is Joan and it turns out that this Accounting Firm really takes care of their clients. I believe the term kuya Bobot used was “spoonfeeding” where they will do all the necessary paper and footwork to get the papers done. So all we need to concentrate on is our business and products.
Last Sunday, Peter and I were meeting and then it struck us how this could be pointing to the right direction. Of course, it will all depend on God’s Direction but we cannot help but smile at the coincidence.
Our very “maasikasong” Accountant’s name is Joan
Our Virtual P.A. from 9-10 years ago, we named her “Jo”… Aliw no?
